The title of this update was actually a typo. I meant to write, "It's September." And, as far as I know, "Steptember" isn't a thing, but I'm going to embrace it as a message that I need to hear: Take things one step at a time, and remember that each step has value. Sitting down to write a few paragraphs within one scene of a first draft can feel like a small step. But this one step is significant, both as part of a larger whole, as well as in and of itself. This Steptember, I'm going to keep that in mind.
